I apologize for the issues you've faced. We are adding more and more ways for people to obtain component gear so that everyone can enjoy them. Events, Black Market, Au-WSP deals, Supply Drops and now Battle Rewards are some of the ways. Between all these, some players do get the bots pretty soon, some even avail these ways partway and spend RM for the rest.

Right now I apologize, but it is not clear to me exactly which robot are you talking about people getting, Kumiho or Inquisitor.

The hotfix is already out for download. It should also contain Pursuer which will be turned on in some hours.

Like usual, they components will be available after a while, most likely after all the bugs are kinks are ironed out.

With so much negative gold it is a very hefty punishment as various aspects of the game like Au robots or weapons, Workshop 2.0, BM deals,etc will be locked out to them. Now that they are gone, we will have more time to deal with tankers.

Don't worry, after we finish the data processing, tankers will be brought their due.

Honor Rewards are coming the next update or the one after it, so don't worry. There are more changes planned to the Supply Drops as well that aims at further decreasing tanking. Don't worry, we have your back!

Hmm, some tough questions, and if I'm being honest, some difficult answers.

I know people who have got a lot of new stuff without paying a dime. It certainly is possible. There are giveaways, contests going on all the time. Like I tell others, I won some stuff this way. The events also usually have the premium robots/weapons are prizes. Then now there is Supply Drops, and then Battle Rewards are arriving soon. Spending money helps in getting them right then, but it isn't impossible to grind for them.

There is another thing that might help, and I practise that too, upgrading only the weapons I know I will use in future in my hangar. Such precise target upgrading does help. Now I dunno how you do it, but just left this tidbit if its helpful.

Workshop 2.0 is going to solve some of these issues. You can generate desired components like you generate WSP now. Don't quote me on this since like any development stuff, might change a tad in its final form. Also, if I am not wrong, in future they'll let you exchange your extra components, so if I were you I'd hold on to them.

Old bots will get some rework, rebalance and would be made more competitive by addition of the ability module/slot system.

I had a Ember Carnage before and I can tell you that a Redeemer is better imo.

Ember has an almost non-existent splash making it absolutely necessary to maintain very high precision especially in Rush. More often than not, a lot of the fuel is wasted accounting for movement and lag.

Redeemer has lots of time between shots so you can actually concentrate on evading and shooting sperately.

Yes, about that. Last I saw the devs were actually working on a "mark" feature for tankers. The mark was like a running man to signify their dishonourable behaviour of running from battle and deserting allies. It'll even show up on their profiles and scorecards after battle.

I know what you're asking. Believe me, we are working to make that possible. Even if we discard game modes, we need huge data(and in different ways) to explore and exhaust every possibility.

However, asking game modes be picked like how one picks dishes at a restaurant is just a bad way for asking things to be run. People pay to pick in Restaurants, using that in the game is just bad. If we can put choosing games modes, we will try so that EVERYONE can avail that, not just people who choose to pay.

We are not facilitating tanking. We do not support it in any form. Some players...however are fond of gaming the systems. Old MM had its Gepard Seal-Clubbers, this one has tankers. There are cheaters, loaders and all shades of questionable and illegal behaviour. Truth be told, we can't even clearly outline the parametres of what makes a "tankers" to the community.(We of course have our internal parametres) because even before we could tell there were people exploiting the loopholes. In some cases, clamping down would actually restrict the game even more(like certain bots can't be played in certain levels). Not to say we can't do it, but takes a lot and lot of time to.

Battle Rewards is a conscious effort to make playing in the higher leagues along with loyal players who spend time with the game more profitable. What I can tell you is that if you grind numbers, you'll see Champions league is far, far more profitable than any lower leagues.

Shocktrain can not be nerfed all at once, I trust you can understand why. So we''ll rebalance it in stages, this is by no means its final form.

The Taran bug is being worked on actually. Might be fixed pretty soon.

Spectre isn't a all-powerful bot in any modes tbh. It's a glass canon and has pretty big disadvantages, it was designed that way- to be balanced.

As for the modes...what happens is, some modes aren't 100% liked, neither they are 100% disliked. KOTH has its detractors but we've been hearing it has done wonders for light bot playstyles. So, we need a way to make those work, hence the experiments. But we hope to not force anyone to do something they don't. My apologies for the inconveniences man!

People aren't protesting religion, people are protesting the systematic oppression of people through certain religious branding. Naming something Trident is very different from trying to glorify the Inquisition for example.

I think a good name would be Asura. We have very few referencing from the very rich Indian and Tiberian canon while having multiple from Classical or Japanese canon. Asura had multiple hands like this bot (hardpoints) and can be good or evil (depending whose side they are on) and had crazy skin colour like blue, red, green. Asura is easy to pronounce and even familiar to most people.

While I would support your views in some cases like a lot of the behaviour some Twitch female gamers engage in, I have to disagree on other points. Is a woman playing a game special? Yes. You and I, as male gamers do not have to expect unsolicited texts or indecent material in our message boxes if we identify ourselves. Sadly, it is not only true that female gamers regularly get unwanted attentions and propositions only because they are female. We can't just discount the function of gender in gaming community when a section is specifically targeted for that sort of behaviour.

And, there is a very selfish reason why I wanted to focus on this. I want my girlfriend to play the game with me. We all want our partners, friends, wives, sisters, daughters to enjoy gaming with us, not just WR, but any game- without having to expect unwanted, unwarranted behaviour in the community. Part of making such a world possible is to normalise female gamers, it's not a secret that there are much fewer female gamers than male. Encouraging them to play even if they are facing such nastiness must come with the show of support of others' side.

If one is a female gamer who has persisted in playing even if she keeps getting harrased for her gender, I say it's a cause for encouragement.

The supply drops were supposed to supposed to give you free components. The Kumiho components ran for over a month, enough for anyone even in SIlver or Gold league to comfortably get it and have left over. I know for a fact my friend has completed a new Kumiho and has enough components for half of another in Silver-Gold. People were complaining to us to change the components because they are getting too many Kumis.

For the league rating 4500 wins give, you should have gotten it quite easily. I am so sorry that you couldn't, but there's nothing we can do at this point. Good things is, with that few components left, there is every chance you can complete it with other free ways.

Maybe collect the Inquisitor components regularly and attain a higher league level to get more? Good luck on your endeavours!

1) Right now we have 4 modes. They playerbase is populous enough in lower tiers like Silver-Gold to quickly find matches, but as we go higher and the player number decreases, having voluntary selection for all 4 modes simultaneously with result is very, very long wait times for people who want to play certain modes: hence the random matchmaking for short wait times.

We might be looking into a similar system such as the tiered one, but that again needs to be tested well before introduction.

2) Yep, I'm a moderator here. I can understand your confusion but right now there are some wrinkles in the website and quite a few bugs to fix here and there. Giving the mods a badge is lower down the priority order than lets say quality of life improvements for users so, might take a bit of a time. Till then, I apologise for the inconveniences!

3) We do that sometimes. Problem is, a lot of the times the questions are sort of shades on the same main theme. Then there are questions which only a dev can answer and then we have to translate from Russian to English: so that is a time-consuming process. Till then, I hope I can somewhat help with the concerns.

The matchmaking is somewhat of a sliding scale. If in Gold I, you'll see opponents from rest of Gold leagues and also start of Diamond leagues, and rarely high up in diamond league too. Sometime, there are very few players available in your server region during the time you are playing, so the MM pools in available "close-enough" players to fill the gap, so that might be bringing in some players from higher and lower leagues.

As stated in the article itself, balancing Shocktrain is a very precarious business, hence I can only leave you with this: This is definitely not the final version of Shocktrain. More balances will be done in future, but in stages so that each change is assured to make it more acceptable to the players.

And, yes, it is very interesting to see what the community comes up with in regarding to the game. However, regrettably a lot of the times the criticism and/or suggestions are delivered with lot of unacceptable vocabulary. So, despite them being rather noteworthy can not be left up because this site caters to all ages.

The clause you mentioned though sounds very restrictive is the most standard for any IP. Think of it like let's say devs bring a major nerf to Shocktrains. Some players might say that they don't accept it at all. This can be the case for any adjustment. Or, I don't know if this is a known fact but a lot of "tankers" have been moved deep into LPQ. Without the clause, they might consider this as restricting access to content, the content being normal queue. That clause isn't as evil as you think IMHO.

Look man, you know we can't keep any overt political commentary, even if it was a joke. That's just not good form. Criticisms are welcome as long as they don't contain any abuse towards staff and/or fellow players and imagined enemies who want to take away your right to bear shocktrains.

Well, it's not like the CMs don't want to engage, but rather they have been spread thin between the reddit, facebook, discord and other channels along with localisation and especially this site which still is under construction. Tofsla was/is active on Reddit, Discord and FB, so that's not an issue of unwillingness. A lot of the team aren't comfortable in English and I think, would rather not complicate issues due to a language barrier. I do try to reply comments directed at me or that needs answering (or are damn fun) ever since I started moderating last Friday.

Personally speaking, I used to run a Gunship (All Molot) Griffin. It always felt like it had a certain dysfunction where it'd sputter out just when it was getting good. I like the damage buff, might make the Gunship more viable in upper tiers and not make me feel stupid for wasting even 1 shot.

I raised your issue with the other mods(Since I started friday and have no idea about past comments) and I have a couple answers and advice for you.

Making 10 accounts and talking about Mail.ru mostly has been the hallmark of one specific commenter who kept spamming the same messages and tried to doxx Pixonic/Mail.ru people which is a strictly bannable offense. Trying to rouse others to invade someone else' privacy whether they be commenters or staff is unacceptable, and not tolerated. Repeated speculations on perceived Pixonic policies and price plans are considered to be false information spreading and brought under deletion policies.

Now, there's leeway if you make it clear you are speculating, and not sure. Even as a mod, I can't and shouldn't make less than informed posts unless I make it clear that I'm speculating and end result might vary.

Now, if you aren't this dude then I apologise. But, I think you do make a point about a warning. So, I explained why exactly were you banned (probably) and what will get you banned and how to not get banned.

Oh and I have one info for you, Pixonic has complete autonomy about game. Mail.ru doesn't influence it, at all.

The problem is getting worse because you're probably in LPQ. There are no leagues there, everyone is just sort of thrown in a lump to carry out their duration of time-out from normal queue.

I'll let you in on a secret. Inquisitor is better than all the other stealth jump bots. Haechi and Kumiho are still some of the best robots even with the new releases. So, don't worry much.

Oh, and congrats on earning the Haechi! and it's not always that hard to get new stuff. I actually got a full pack of Wild Bunch robots, and two Inquisitors just by keeping my eye on the contests that regularly pop up.

Well, I meant more Zeus Carnage (Can't stand Fury's slow speed). The Rush lets me keep the 100m as well as deploy quickly where the Dash needs quelling. Surprisingly, Thunder Carnage and Galahad's are pretty good against Shocktrains- the former as excellent ambusher in close maps like DC or Shenzen, the latter because ST bounces off shield- but of course very good teamplay is needed in both where they stay away from you when you engage the ST bot.

Staff composition and Dev-stuff aren't really my area so I won't comment on it.

Yes, I can personally confirm that Silver and Gold mix. In Silver I, you'll often see a Gold III/II or two thrown in, in Gold III, II you'll see Silvers sometimes.

We do not support players tanking down to prey on lower levelled players but alas, people are fond of gaming the game. we have started to move habitual tankers deep in LPQ, but with such a large playerbase, it's virtually impossible to do quickly. Yes, you seem to be in LPQ if you're getting rewards that low. Give me a few days, I'll see what I can do about that situation. Keep in mind though, if we think you've tanked too, we won't be helping you. Again, don't pin your hopes too much because leaving is expressly forbidden. Comment your player ID and platform though.

As for dashbots. There are guides enough in this forum that teach you to counter them, have you had the opportunity to check them out? There are lots of good clans and discord discussions going on around the net about WR that teach you to play effectively and in a group. Also, it'd do well to diversify your hangar. Pin-Tulumbus setups against Bulgasari Shocktrains, Plasma setups against Haechi; Trebuchets, Gekkos, Thunder Carnages are good against both hae-bulg. Actually, two things very less explored are Molot and Punisher setups. They deplete anciles and eat away at shields fast, just have to be opportunistic.

And remember, if you're in Gold I, you'll get your very own Kumiho by supply drops soon enough!

You know, in the screenshot provided with the "Miser" way, there's 8 kills,2 Beacons an 800k+ damage which is the top damage.
You don't really need to "fade" or not contribute to conserve silver.

How is that sad? I like high HP robots too more than more destructive ones. Probably because I liked playing as a knight/paladin.

Tempest will probably be the first Battle Rewards drop. Battle Rewards is most likely to come in next release, 3.7 or 3.8 by latest.

That's one of the questions that would be better answered by a dev. I'll pass it on to them.

However, what I am about to say is what I felt, as a player. Even during pre-dash era, dropping immediate cash was the way to get the then most powerful robots, the Lancelot and Fury, immediately. More gold to upgrade them asap. The grind to get the gold for all that to do it while completely f2p was quite long too. When I started playing, I remember wondering if I'll ever get the 10K Au for 5th slot and Lancelot. But if I wanted to have them all immediately, I'd have to drop cash.

Also, it isn't entirely true that no manner of strategy can overcome the new robots. Zeus has 100m more range than Shocktrains and can 't be stopped by Haechi and the Bulg can't shoot with its shield facing you. The Haechi is very fragile to plasma, the Bulg is easy to kill with rockets. Players have already started adapting to ST by spreading out more rather than ganging up on opponents. To some extent, it feels like somewhere, as players we are frustrated somewhat because we had the best old equipment that we did well with. Now the meta has advanced and we have to adapt again and we aren't as secure as we were in our positions.

As for procurement, there are more ways than ever to get new stuff. Previous premium robots couldn't be got by WSP or the free roulette. I don't recall Lancelot being offered as prize in event. Most of the premium weapons and bots have been offered as rewards in past events. Supply drops is giving out Kumiho right now for absolutely free, Battle Rewards will probably give Tempest the first month it comes out. Contests regularly giveaway stuff. In fact, personally I have won 2 Inquisitors and a pack of Wild Bunch robots in 3 seperate contests.

I never did get that Lancelot btw.

I didn't quite buy the Wild Bunch bots. I won a contest that gave me 25K IP, enough for one each of the bots.

Again, I won both the comic making and story making contest on FB and got the Inquisitors. While it is true that lots of people win stuff for rather cheap in the roulette, luck has never been my forte so if I wanted one, I'd probably have gotten it by grinding. Btw, the grapevine tells me that the prices for wild bunch will soon be justified by their stats. Buff incoming!

I find comparing behaviours irl to game a bit misleading. Games are a suspension of reality, sort of like dreams. Since we know this isn't real, we engage in all sorts of behaviour we wouldn't when we know it'd effect someone in real life.

I mean, that's the whole reason we're talking about this, isn't it? If you do your honest best and try to save other people from machine gun fire irl while not thinking about your own family, you bight be dubbed brave, but also stupid.

Also, theres a fatalistic romanticism in sacrificing yourself, isn't it? Well, truth is, you're doing no one any favours by charging in with one weapon on a Rog for a minute. That time could be spent in a undamaged Griff delivering more damage and help. Thinking that whoever doesn't play like you do is a snivelling coward is...self-placating at best.

Then again, it's a game. Value judgements are meaningless here.

It does auto-aim. But using the shield properly, a Bulgasari has to make it face the enemy at right angles. Since the shield is at a side, the Bulg has to face 90Degrees away from the approaching red to use the shield, this much movement will make the auto-aim lose its lock-on. Some fine tuning is possible on the part of the Bulg pilot, but too much movement by the red while the shield is engaged will definitely make the bulg lose lock-on.

As a mod here. my job is to convey the constructive feedback to the concerned people without partiality, explain stuff that needs explaining and decrease negativity and flat-out nastiness. So, I am not partial to any views.

As for advocacy, I can explicitly assure you that you have a lot of people in the general players' corner than you know who constantly provide feedback, carry out live-testing and give meaningful suggestion to better the game. Most of it can't been seen because it is not in public eye. It's not as if the devs themselves don't want to listen. They do. It might seem that they aren't paying attention but one needs to understand something. Think of the whole process as a heavy freight train. Each change, and particularly if it's in a different direction than originally taken, needs tonnes and tonnes of data and feedback to be made possible. Right now, all the small(er) nerfs you see that seem not enough is the train applying brakes. It'll take a bit of time before it can switch tracks. The decisions that can be easily taken, are. I can personally mention two instances: The original name for Spectre was Exorcist. It was changed immediately when the group providing feedback expressed concerns about the connotations. Even the bot itself has nerfed a bit according to the suggestions. Other major decisions, particularly that'll effect already in motion development take more time to influence. But, we try :)

Pix is overhauling the MM. That's sure.

Yes, barring some considerations and situations, Shocktrain is one of the most powerful weapon in-game. No doubt.

I am hopeful about the future though. I've seen some very interesting ways that have been proposed to the mods to rein in the weapon. One of them will most probably will be adopted, albeit step by step to curb dissatisfaction among players. As you can see, a majority of shocktrainers are not aboard with an excessive nerf. So, in time.

About Test Server. Yes, we have raised some of the same concerns and last heard, a new test server is in the process of being made to better assess new content.

Same situation with modes as with ST. I can't tell you when it'll be changed but it is being looked at to reconcile choosing of modes and enough players in higher leagues. Some intriguing ways to bypass this has been thought of like event only modes. In fact I surmise, the recent move to increase earning in two modes is a a bid to have more even player distribution and check if increasing earnings prompt player flow to certain modes. The keyword here is "surmise".

If you refer to my comment to I Smell made a few hours earlier, I already told that the devs are busy figuring out a way to preserve both the freedom to choose modes and having enough players in the higher leagues.

One factor is the question is that the servers aren't 100% unified, but regional. Hence, while match finding times may be short on high volume times, it gets bad during lean times. having 4 simultaneous modes will severely hamper this process further, especially in highest leagues which will lead to...more tanking. We were already seeing a vast difference in potential due to this especially when sometimes Diamonds would be thrown in Champion matches due to unavailability. But, a workaround is being searched for.

I don't see the hangar decks things as bad personally. 7,500 Au for five more slots is fair to me without making the player op with lets say six or seven bots per match.

But, as always, your feedback and ideas will be sent forward to the concerned people.

What I meant and you could have easily surmised and yet chose to convolute to an impossible degree was that lots of people are providing feedback that benefits the players and contain their own feedback and all the vox populi. Also an alternative answer is: Yep, its a battle royale boxing match.

Oh no, Pix has all the necessary and minute data. I have had occasion to be acquainted with some data(which I am not at liberty to disclose) and can tell you that they even know the exact percentage of spawning instances of each weapon. Again, I'm a mod, not the dev or any person related to the matter you're asking about. But I can tell you this, they have mountains of data they need to look at and they are before making any decision.

Input is done by both general players and testers. The writers of major blogs about WR, the writers here and lot of youtubers constantly provide feedback from the general players perspective and they are taken into account. Again, not all ideas and feedback find its way into game, but some do. I can tell you that almost all of the feedback even sent from in-game support is read. But, its a huge task trying to find objectivity from responses, since people having shocktrain will often answer differently than people without.

In any case, they work on a different scale than individual players so it takes time. Does that mean one can excuse them for the things they do that aren't necessarily beneficial to a lot of the players? Of course not. But it'll take time to change. I am not happy with certain changes either, and I provide feedback on it.

I think I did hear talk of a bot with phasing ability through the walls with the caveat that they die if they get stuck and the need to overhaul the "Inside space" of the obstacles to allow that. But that all is speculation and I don't think it's going to come to fruition.

The Shield thing, yes. In future the damage on shield will most probably be counted. However, not sure about energy shields mainly because the regeneration can be exploited to do timed drops and rack up huge earnings.

I've always thought that in the battlegrounds, the presence of devastating energy weapons and all have discouraged plant life on large scale. Most tress would have been uprooted and destroyed by both the weapons and the mechs. It fits in why we can only see some low-level, quick growing vegetation like moss or lichen on Dead City walls, or deep jungles beyond the border in valley (The view from a Hover is spectacular)

As for inexistence of WR narratives, I think there are a few very creative ones floating around the internet, albeit unofficial.

There probably won't be a conventional chat system anytime soon. Online games can be pretty intense and players would often get very invested, resulting in a stream of profanity and unwanted behaviour that is unacceptable.

However, I can tell you that there are plans afoot to create a system of communication relying on pre-set messages like "follow me!" or "Get the beacon!" or "Get in the robot, Shinji!" that will both serve the purpose and stop any abusive action.

But I do think it might be problematic. I mean, I got my first good max damage completely by fluke since everyone was running non shield bots and I had a Zeus Carnage in Yamantau. That max damage doesn't reflect my usual performance, so how will it be taken as a standard marker?

Afaik, the splash damage doesn't get divided up between shield and body. It does the max damage to both equally, and if it's undeployed in a bot with the deployment mechanism( Like Rhino, Raijin) it completely bypasses it.

I can understand your concerns. As of now, I can assure you that the Supply Drops are going to get more tweaked in 3.7 and 3.8, and Battle Rewards will come which are designed as some anti-tanker measures.

As for repeat offenders...we are keeping a naughty list, and a repeat offender score :) They'll get harsher and harsher sentences each time.

The algorithm we have now has a few problems. For example, we look for a cheat some player's use called "lag switch" that deliberately introduces lag to help the player. However, the effect of lag switch is very similar to a poor internet connection. So, sometimes we need to be extra careful. But, from what I hear a much better algorithm is in the process of being made!

I'm not sure that'll solve the issue. We'll still have a weapon equal to shocktrain level power and Shoktrains will still be a point of contention for many, added with another new weapon.

Energy shields regenerate at the same rate, indefinitely. However they don't come into effect till about 10% of it has been repaired.
